As I said in a previous post, it is amazing just how bitchy the little boys can be.

Besides being really clever and interesting, you are one of the most decent people I know. For anyone to say otherwise is completely doff.

This Guy person sounds like a total chop. Don't waste another thought on him. He is clearly not worthy of intelligent debate. (personal attacks and name calling does not equal intelligent debate, no matter which way you slice it)

Hi everyone, thanks for pitching in. I am really not bothered by what Guy, Richard or anyone of their ilk think about me. I wouldn't run a blog like this if I couldn't take criticism. The fact is, if all I posted was a load of irrelevant and offensive nonsense I wouldn't have any readers or subscribers and would be talking to myself.

I have been blogging on here for close to 2 years now and I have enjoyed the experience. I have been through a couple dramas like this one and there will be plenty more to come. I know I have been talking about shutting this blog down or changing a bit but in restrospect, I think I will keep going with it. That is, if you'll keep coming back and don't mind the posts being a little few a far between compared to my past postings.

I was alerted to the existence of this converstaion by Charl this morning. I have not been keeping uo well with all things blog related and the state of my own is a crying shame. I do think that I have caught on in the meantime though, so here's my ten cents worth:

I looked at trafficdepartment and quite frankly the author would be better off applying for a position there. We see so much of that type of nonsense on the www and the mere fact the the guy's site was defaced just proves his inexperience and/or lack of understanding of teh field he is applying himself as an expert to. Be that as it may, there are other articles that deal with that joke, so on to the crux of this one ... how to respond to criticism.

I must state first of all that I too sometimes make statements that offend and then I get a flaming on my own blog instead of people pitching in and contributing to the conversation. Funny thing is that if you should do similarly to those same individuals on their blogs, your response is met with utter disapproval. Seems some don't understand the double-edged sword concept.

Kudos to you then for responding to allegations against you in such a well mannered and calculated fashion - I bet your adversary is spitting flames by now.

As for remarks about Charl - the man is a genius and one of the most modest, ethical people I have ever met. To accuse CharlVN of defacing a site can be likened to kicking a puppy - why hurt and/or insult someone who has not an evil bone in him?

This Guy should be buried with his head sticking out of the ground for all to piss on.

Thanks for the post, Paul. I have no idea who defaced Guy's site but I know one thing for sure: it wasn't me. If you ask me he is making these wild statements because he clearly has no idea who did. His lack of understanding of the difference between a hacker (computer experts who do not deface websites) and script kiddies (those who know nothing and do deface websites) demonstrates his ignorance. His remarks are so outrageous that I would not even bother to respond directly.

Paul, Legend, what a great answer to a stupid debate. I honestly thought you would retaliate being called all those names, but you've proved me wrong and that you are a better person than most of us and I have great respect for that.
