Loved the technical investigative excursion into the Nokia store's technical aspects.

Like you I wonder why they launched with so much work still yet to be done, but only time will tell if that was wise or profoundly naive. The strategy from the nokia team in my heart and mind isn't entirely made clear and that troubles me a little.

Nevertheless kick ass post, I'd been waiting for this!

Re: http://pauljacobson.org/2009/05/01/nokias-music-store-is-a-mixed-bag/

New blog post: Nokia’s Music Store is a mixed bag http://tinyurl.com/cpgaog

This comment was originally posted on Twitter

Re: My thoughts about the Nokia 5800 Xpress Music

Hi Debra

Thanks for commenting. I believed in Nokia once, but now I hate Nokia with every inch of my body. I liked the looks and the feature of N73 when I bought it. Its initial firmware was 3.7. something. Back then it was not able to make service calls (which was crucial for me). So I did the software update, now I was able to make service calls, but my call button was not working rarely. I restarted the phone and everything was managable. I updated my phone all the way to 4.0839.42.0.1 to get rid of this problem. Now when my call button stops working I restart the phone, but now phone does not boot up!! It is stuck in the NOKIA screen, I have to restart it a couple of times more to get the damn thing to work.
What kind of tests does NOKIA do when they release a new software update? I guess they just don't, because it would be very easy to figure out if something is wrong, when the phone DOES NOT boot up. I advise NOKIA to hire some test engineers, or let me just do the tests for benefit!

Go buy HTC if you want a decent phone!

Re: http://pauljacobson.org/2009/04/09/why-youre-wrong-about-friendfeed/

Why you’re wrong about FriendFeed http://ff.im/-26vZF

This comment was originally posted on Twitter

Re: http://pauljacobson.org/2009/04/09/why-youre-wrong-about-friendfeed/

Thanks for your comment Nina. FriendFeed isn't for everyone. It is pretty simple to set up and the beta site looks a lot like Twitter so I think new users shouldn't be too overwhelmed. That being said, Twitter is popular for a good reason and people who prefer it or are comfortable on Twitter shouldn't change just because FriendFeed is there.

Re: http://pauljacobson.org/2009/04/09/why-youre-wrong-about-friendfeed/

Thank you very much.
