Hey Paul - glad you got things working. If you download the latest MarsEdit, 1.1.7, you'll find that it works out of the box with "Drupal" as the selection from the popup menu.

Ah, but I am not a huge fan of Firefox right now either - it is really slow and granted it may be because of some of my plugins but the last version was much faster.

I actually have an update to this post which I'll publish now ...

You really should look into Flock to do your blogging, which is a Firefox based browser so most your plugins should still work.
